A retail brand experiencing explosive growth needed to greatly expand their retail footprint nationwide in order to meet their enormous demand. Operating in a segment where speed to market offers a large competitive advantage, it was important to expedite the design and permitting process and be as efficient as possible. Through a highly collaborative process, the company’s operations, real estate, brand design, and construction teams worked with Collective Office to develop a streamlined process which allowed for the rollout of over 100 stores.
The team developed a modular kit of parts which could be deployed across each location. This solution proved to be highly adaptable, as it could expand and contract to fit a wide variety of store sizes based on available real estate and expected demand. This approach was also very efficient, allowing the design team to quickly develop drawings and allowing the construction team to be able to execute with little additional direction.
These build-outs infuse the brand’s modern and sophisticated image into their minimalist interiors, bringing the products to the forefront in the space. The design produces a calm and welcoming environment with its use of natural materials and a quiet color palette. Through its modular design approach, the team was able deliver a consistent brand experience throughout each of their locations.

The end result of this effort was an explosion of more than 100 stores, spanning 15 states, over a 5 year timeline. This very fast growth has cemented the client as a large player in their field and given them a competitive advantage in the areas in which they operate.
