Mr. Klymson holds a Master of Architecture degree from IIT and a Bachelor of Architectural Science from Toronto Metropolitan University. Jeff Klymson created Collective Office to focus on practice and research. The practice provides a project-specific, detail-oriented process. We employ this process on all of our projects. We aim to challenge convention and push boundaries, asking questions at every stage of our process. The primary focus of Mr. Klymson’s research is the convergence of architecture and the branded world to create personal experiences. He aims to use this idea to create a more intuitive connection for people within their own built environments.

Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Preston graduated from Auburn University where he received both his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Interior Architecture. While at Auburn, his work emphasized concept-driven design, always investigating new ways to approach a problem. Collective
Beliefs

Distinct, harmonious, empowering. The spaces we inhabit should promote ease.

It’s the only way life unfolds effortlessly.

Collective is in our name for a reason. Partnership is a core condition of our shared success.

Always what’s right. Never just what’s best for our portfolio or what’s most convenient.

A healthy obsession with what often gets overlooked. Every measurement, every finish, every dream and deadline matters.

We think long-term and take seriously the responsibility we have to our clients and our planet.

Craft, care, consideration. Everything is meticulously considered here.

Spaces that can hold life as it unfolds. Spaces that can support whatever life brings. Spaces that counter the chaos of modern life. Spaces that enhance the everyday.

Good architecture is familiar.

Process only works when people are at the center.

Collaboration is paramount.

It’s always what’s best for the project.

Every detail matters.

Design to minimize impact and maximize possibility over time.

Thoughtfulness? It’s everything.

Space should enhance how you want to live and who you want to be.
