Collective Office’s own office space was forged within an 1889 piece of Chicago history. This two-story, 5,500sf building was once home to a custom masonry fabricator who made architectural masonry details for Chicago’s beautiful building stock during the late 19th Century and early 20th Century.
After sitting vacant since the mid 1980’s, the building was in desperate need of refurbishment. It took 24 dump trucks to clear out the detritus and deteriorated building elements but, through hard work, this pre-Chicago fire building was given a new lease on life.
This substantial project gutted the existing structure and replaced it with a clean, modern interior that can support life as it happens. The 2nd floor boasts a spacious 3 bedroom 3 bath home while the 1st floor storefront is Collective Office’s home base. The serene, modern interior has fostered a space for creativity, connections, and productivity.
