The Burling Residence is an interior renovation of a 120+ year old building in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood with a new addition. Collective Office has reimagined both the interior and exterior of this building to provide a residence for this young family to grow within. The addition helps maximize the property's buildable area, while allowing for its interior uses to be generously sized.
This project has created a modern update to a classic Chicago home. The addition, informed by its context, blends the old with the new, and creates vibrant social spaces this family can enjoy for many years to come.
