On the Boards
Workplaces are the infrastructure for collaboration, innovation, and productivity - executed through designing for emotions. We are proposing to uplift this stale work environment into an energized space with materials that possess an inherent honesty, promoting a trustworthy message for the company while supporting their everyday tasks.
The sensory experience relies on the communication between the materials and the spaces they inhabit. A dialogue is introduced between the soft texture of the wood that wraps around the hard concrete under the workstations with a white shell that enhances the color and materiality that is being introduced. The rather neutral palette is supplemented with a subtle planters and a bright green, energizing the soft mood capable of supporting a variety of uses. The interior experience becomes open and bright that nudges the senses with the use of honest materials; providing an approachable quality that allows anyone to feel welcome. The planters designate the zones of varying uses floating within the existing framework of the interior that use a limited material palette to add sensory feedback to the space, grounding the design and putting humans back in focus.
